My stop-over in Singapore

On my way to New Zealand I stoped in Singapore and had a look around. It is a city and the city is the country. We stayed in a tall hotel with more than 70 floors. We started the stay with a Singapore Sling on the top floor.

Bonnie and Frank really enjoyed the view form our room and the temperature was really nice and warm too.

We found Singapore to be avarage bear frieendly and that is because it is all about shopping. We are not into shopping so it wasn't really for us. Singapore is a place that want things to be bigger and better all the time. The Marina Bay building was nice to look at and it has a park on top and a huge swimming pool too.

We had some very good and tasty food. I was glad they had pictures of the food so I knew what I got.

We all really liked the botanical garden. We spent nearly a day there looing at the plants and the flowers and the birds. It is a very bear friendly place and we could have spent more time there. There was a lake with fish and turtles in too.

The Orchid garden had so many beautiful flowers that I didn't know what was the prettiest. There were all sorts of tropical plants and I got my bum pintched sitting on a pineapple....

We ended the day Raffles Hotel's Long Bar. Many famous humans have been there and it is where the Singapore Sling drink first was mixed. Since I had allready tasted the drink I was happy with the peanuts and you just throw the shell on the floor...

Next time I will write more form New Zealand.

  5. Dear Berkeley,

On behalf of the National Library Board (NLB), we would like to invite you to pledge your blog to the Singapore Memory Project as part of efforts to collect memories that are already manifested in existing online channels.

The Singapore Memory Project (SMP) is a national initiative to collect, preserve and provide access to Singapore’s knowledge materials. Spearheaded by NLB, the SMP aims to build a national collection of content in diverse formats (including print, audio and video), to preserve them in digital form, and make them available for discovery and research.

By pledging your blog to SMP, you are affirming that every memory matters. Whether your posts are an account of your daily life, or an expression of your thoughts, the SMP hopes to find a home for your memories so that it can help build towards an understanding of Singapore. You will also receive a badge that you can display on your blog in recognition of your contributions.

Contributors to this blog pledging initiative will be listed on Singapore Memory portal’s blog pledging webpage. All blogs pledged to SMP will archived using NLB’s web harvesting software, in addition to images of each blog’s landing page.
